Experience the calming, creative practice of nature journaling as we explore the beauty and detail of Stauffer Run. This workshop introduces participants to journaling as a blend of art, writing, and scientific observation—an enriching way to deepen your connection with the natural world.

You’ll learn simple illustration techniques, strategies for making meaningful observations, and approaches that help transform everyday moments in nature into valuable recorded insights. No artistic background is required—just an interest in looking closely and capturing what you see.

What to Expect:

We’ll meet at the S. Dale High Leadership Center before taking a short walk to Stauffer Run. There, along the creekside, we will settle in to observe, sketch, and journal in a peaceful outdoor setting.

  • Bring a blank sketchbook or loose sketch paper and a pen
  • Additional art materials are welcome (some supplies provided)
  • Dress for the weather and bring drinking water
  • No experience required — this is a no‑judgment zone
  • Appropriate for ages 12+
  • Capacity: 25 participants

Join us for a relaxing and inspiring evening of creativity and nature connection at Stauffer Run.

This event is open to all. RSVP required.
