Dive into an evening of outdoor discovery at the Stauffer Run Creek Stomp! This hands‑on, family‑friendly exploration invites participants to wade into the cool waters of Stauffer Run and uncover the fascinating world living beneath the surface.

Guided by environmental educators from the Lancaster Conservancy, you’ll flip stream rocks to reveal aquatic insects, use nets to spot small fish, and learn how healthy waterways support thriving ecosystems. It’s an exciting, educational adventure perfect for nature lovers of all ages.

What to Expect:

We’ll gather at the S. Dale High Leadership Center before taking a short walk to Stauffer Run. Once at the creek, participants will step into the water to explore stream life up close. Expect splashes, discoveries, and maybe a bit of mud!

  • Wear secure shoes that can get wet (old sneakers work best)
  • Bring drinking water
  • Plan on getting wet and possibly muddy
  • Suitable for ages 5+

Join us for an unforgettable evening connecting with nature, learning about stream ecology, and celebrating the importance of clean water in our community.

This event is open to all. RSVP required.
